It is with great delight that ThiQar Internist Association (TQIA) welcomes you to its new website!

TQIA is a new internist association formally established in 2018. It currently has more than 100 members specialising in internal medicine and its branches. 

TQIA’s core vision is to establish a forum that embraces the dissemination and progression of scientific activity through a friendly environment promoting collaboration and team work.

We endeavour to expand our reach, both nationally and internationally and look forward to launching our first annual conference this coming April 2019.

The conference will offer a scientific programme which includes guest national and local high calibre speakers, the young researcher competition and an interactive expert panel to discuss complex clinical cases in a live and interactive manner. We will also have a recreational programme which may include a visit to the ancient remains of Ur including the famous Ziggurat and the marsh arabs, now officially recognised as one the world’s heritage sites. The programme schedule is currently being finalised by the scientific committee and will be distributed soon.

Our continuous, CME approved activity runs regularly with our speciality theme based symposia the first weekend of every month and a number of useful clinically relevant sessions distributed throughout each month. Advertising of those activities can be accessed via our website.
